The last time I saw Sharon, probably at the last class reunion either of us attended, we had a fine time remembering our after-school antics in the little Bruggeman Nash convertible. Dr. Van, Abby, and Becky, my heart goes out to you,as well as Mallory, Paul and Scott as you mourn the passing of a very special lady. I am sorry that I was unable to visit since Van and Sharon's move to Anderson, but that has not prevented my thoughts and prayers from winging northeastward for them over these recent years. Van and Sharon's warm hospitality meant so much to me from the time I arrived at TAMU. We shared the love of dogs, potted plants, good food and travel. May God comfort and console you each one. Sorry to hear about Sharon's passing. I claimed to be the one who set Van and Sharon up on their first date, doubling with me and Mary Jane Bruggeman. Van denied it, but couldn't come up with an alternative. Abby went to school with my boys, Mark and Paul, who also send their condolences. Van and Sharon were here at Texas A&M when Joy and I got here in 1974. And, Sharon's good friend, Diane Stribling lived just down the street from us, on Merry Oaks. Please pass along our regards to Van.
